Is cross dressing specifically sighted in Deuteronomy 22 vs 5 and 6, it was originally written with words like "keli" "gerber" keli suggesting hard or ceramic, gerber meaning a specific type of man, possibility military or a man of war. It is a verse that seems to be speaking not of general people or general clothing , but of specific clothing in a specific situation. The term gerber is carried to the next verse where it is this special man, one of battle or war, that is not to wear the feminine clothing. The verse seems to be referring to a specific cultural event that involved the exchange of soldier's armor for women's clothing. This action, probably the event angered God.

I have prayed for insight about this particular scripture many times and I believe that God has no problem with my cross dressing., as I am not an old testament Jewish man of war, and I am not dressing in anyone elses , let alone a woman's, clothing , I see no prohibition with this verse. As a Christia I am thrilled that I have a living Savior Jesus Christ whom I can pray to at any time and he gives me answers to these questions. But the bible says that He likes man to search out the "deep things of god"

The bible says that our righteousness (the things we do to keep us in right standing with God), is like filthy rags, therefore I cannot tell anyone that there cannot be anything wrong with cross dressing, but I think that it is like most other things, the possible wrongness is associated with attitude , or intent , or the possible fantasy or imaginations used, not the harmless actions of men wearing clothing that was likely originally meant for men, but is now meant for women ,and likely in the future will be worn by both,

There may be Christians hung up on cross dressing, or maybe some other sort of behavior, but that is not why Christ came., He said,"i have come to set the captives free. " He said that he came that we "might have life and have life more abundantly. "

I believe that if this were a non issue for both the church and for our society , we would already be closer to God's will for us.

Chist did not come to judge, neither should we.

People fear what they either do not understand or understand all too well.

The biggest gay bashers usually have questions about their own sexuality. Guys who give me the worst time about being cross dressed are one set of high heels away from joining me. Extremists of any sort are giving every group a bad name, Muslims, Christians, Whale lovers, tree huggers, bloggers, I mean, if you have to get extreme you need medication.

Live and let live, right up to the point some dirtbag steps on your toes, then turn around and continue on. You won't ever win, you won't change their minds and all you'll do is get your Manolos smugded with footprints !

I am christian (Yeah, a christian, straight cross dresser - welcome to my little world HAHAHA) and have a lot of beautiful friends who are Muslim. I love who they are, I don't care what they are, none of my business.

I remember reading an article on how a woman could stand to pee. Although I am pretty accepting of new things, I think I could develop a shy bladder if I were standing at the urinal and she had a full stream going on and GOD help me if she started chatting.

Oh god, I'm gonna pee myself now, the visual, I gave that to myself. I'm so wrong.

Love the pic, keep em coming.

You're absolutely right when you state "Be open minded but don’t fear to criticize if necessary". I agree 100%.

(Just for the record: I'm NOT a muslim!)
However, I do think that a lot of the "loud, active and big-enough-to-cause-a-scene islamist groups " are created by way of media coverage. When a muslim kills 5 people he's immediately called a terrorist. When a caucasian does, he's mentally unstable or something.
OK, maybe "moslim groups" are loud. But I see muslim groups shouting for peace too... I see non-muslim groups shouting for war too... (right now the first group in mind is Israel and Ghaza. But there are more. The Belgian "Green" action group GAIA isn't really quiet either.)
And then again: It's not the Muslims that are dangerous. Or Islam. It's the individual groups. And I can assure you that eg. Bush has made more innocent casualties in his "war on terror" than that people died in the two towers.

I understand that terrorism is NOT to be allowed. But then again: using a "nukular" missile to kill a fly also is.
We should be ware not to overkill a problem. Should dangerous terrorists be allowed to wander freely in our society? Ofcourse not!
But that does ABSOLUTELY not mean we should build prisons and put everyone we suspect of something in them. Think of Guantanamo Bay in Cuba: How many people have been locked up there? How many have had a trial (or even official accusations)? How many have been found guilty in a fair trial? (Millitary accusing, prosecuting, judging AND punishing them is NOT fair!!! Far from!)

Sorry if I keep using Bush as an example. He got on my nerves for eight years straight...
OK, different example:
Another babykilling in Belgium... maybe better to put all Belgians in a prison? 'Coz they might hurt another baby? You don't hear them and that makes them even more dangerous. Rediculous I know, but it's the same method of arguing.
Seriously: I've talked to several muslims and NONE of them agrees with the aggressive attitude displayed by the media... Not even close

I believe whole the "muslims are agressive"-Hype is mediacreated. Muslims are nowadays treated as witches during the witch-hunts, as Knights Templar in the Middle Ages, as Jews during the World War, as Communists during the cold war etc etc.

To summarise: I agree 100% with "Be open minded but don’t fear to criticize if necessary" and right now I'm criticizing the media turning Muslims into boogeymen...

I understand that terrorism is NOT to be allowed. But then again: using a “nukular” missile to kill a fly also is.

He got on my nerves for eight years straight…
OK, different example:
Another babykilling in Belgium… maybe better to put all Belgians in a prison? ‘Coz they might hurt another baby? You don’t hear them and that makes them even more dangerous. Rediculous I know, but it’s the same method of arguing.
Seriously: I’ve talked to several muslims and NONE of them agrees with the aggressive attitude displayed by the media… Not even close

I believe whole the “muslims are agressive”-Hype is mediacreated. Muslims are nowadays treated as witches during the witch-hunts, as Knights Templar in the Middle Ages, as Jews during the World War, as Communists during the cold war etc etc.

To summarise: I agree 100% with “Be open minded but don’t fear to criticize if necessary” and right now I’m criticizing the media turning Muslims into boogeymen…

Oh snap, Belgium. I can pretty much picture the public discussion atmosphere. We had our own with two school shootings not even a year apart (yay, Finland!). Our main villain seemed to be the big scary Internet. And the fact that people can get hand guns. What I've understood the thing that went wrong with all three cases was mostly issues with mental healthcare system. Way too easy thing to just sweep under the mat.

The thing with Islam is so multilayered it would be best to just point to a good summary site but I don't know any good English ones. 8/ Like you said not every people from certain group act or think the same way. The main problem with Islam/Muslims is the loud, active and big-enough-to-cause-a-scene islamist groups and the way that they are allowed to act and influence people in the Middle East and stamping more liberal thinkers at the same time. There maybe isn't that big group of nutcases but way too many of their Muslim brothers give at least their silent acceptance to their actions.

Be open minded but don't fear to criticize if necessary. : D That's my rule of thumb.
